Here are some excerpts from my live performance at the Currents New Media "Art & Technology Festival" in Santa Fe, New Mexico on June 18, 2023.
So, for the first time in any of my performances, just about anything that could go wrong, did go wrong! Modules failing, wrong patches loaded up due to someone touching my system before the performance, samples not triggering, etc., etc.
Apparently, the audience didn't notice, but I was panicking the entire time as things kept failing and me having to constantly improvise (which is also why I didn't play the Wavedrum like I was going to; I had a whole performance worked out for that!) Still, despite all of that, I had fun, met some great people, and learned some lessons...
Thanks to Chris Meyer of @LearningModular for inviting me and for the nice introduction; to Jim Coker of @Five12 for providing the sound/mixing duties, Anthony Ballo for assistance, and to John Lyell for his beautiful opening performance.
