Golden Axe Evolution in Video Games

SEGA's classic beat em up has had a long history since 1989, and for a long time the franchise has been inactive since the seventh generation of video game consoles. But then there was a pitch in 2012 by SEGA Studios Australia for a line of remakes known as the SEGA Reborn series, which included Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, and Shinobi. All of these games would have also taken place in the same universe encompassed in a universal hub world.
Unfortunately, the studio shut down in 2013 and SEGA Reborn project ended up being cancelled.
The background of the project had trouble with management and unreasonable conditions to a small team under crunch roughly for about two weeks of work for the prototype.
