A long, long time has passed since the events of the first Magicka-game. A great civil war between the wizards took place and almost wiped them out. This lead to the lands prospering, as there weren't any crazy wizards around to accidentally destroy everything while trying to help, as their spells aren't really that reliable or easy to control. But now something is happening that is requiring the help of the wizards again! There's only a handful of them left, but they are ready to once again help the world! The famous soothsayer Nostrir has prophesied a special child will be born, a child that has absorbed a lot of the energy of the magic released during the wizard wars! This child would then lead the world to a golden age of prosperity! But not all agree with the vision, the orcs and goblins wish to rid the world of this child before it can come of age, so it's up to the wizards to find and protect this child!
Vlad is still alive at this time (and he's still definitely not a vampire!) and goes in search of the wizards to do this! But was Nostrir's vision really true?
