We did a video recently on the absurd replacement cost of a simple inner door handle as found on current generation GM trucks.
It was a popular video that is still getting views and generating comments.
One of these comments actually got under our skin. Not because of anything said about us, but rather how the abuse of customers in the parts and service department is justified by the high costs associated with selling cars.
This may in fact be how this sort of thing is justified in today's business world, but what it screams in a lack of ethics, and it's a problem that extends far beyond just the automotive world.
