The cameras are better, but Google also cut RAM on the Pro models, shrank the batteries on three of the four phones, and raised prices across the board. Here's everything that changed, including the downgrades nobody's mentioning.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL now start at 12GB of RAM instead of 16GB. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold's battery drops from 5,015mAh to 4,750mAh. And the base Pixel 11 is still on Wi-Fi 6E for the second year running, still 3,000 nits, still a 10.5MP selfie camera.
But the camera upgrades are real. The Pro's redesigned telephoto pulls in 32% more light and zooms to 120x. The Pixel 11 and Pro Fold get a 48MP main on a larger 1/1.56" sensor — 56% more light — which finally walks back the sensor Google shrank on the Pixel 10. And Instant Night Sight on the Pro models is 4.5x faster.
The software is where this year actually lives: Magic Capture, Live Translate with voice cloning, a built-in teleprompter that follows your voice, Quick Share working with AirDrop, and one Gboard feature I'd genuinely switch phones for.
