The duty of self defense and the right of the individual person to preserve his or her life is a natural law. Why then do so many Christians think that God would not want us to lift a finger in defense of ourselves or others?
There are many times throughout history where we have seen God call men to action in order to defend the Church and the innocent.
The fact is, God wants us to defend ourselves if we are in a situation required to do so. We have an obligation, and a duty, to self defense, especially when it comes to defending those entrusted to our care.
