Every Decade has a Turtle or Tortoise!
In the 1920s it was Tortoise from the Tortoise and the Hare.
In the 1930s it was Toby Tortoise who debuted in the 1935 Disney Silly Symphonies.
In the 1940s we have Cecil Turtle from the Looney Tunes who debuted in 1941
The Turtle of the 1950s was Bert the Turtle from the 1951 Civil Defense Animated Informative film titled Duck and Cover to learn about Ducking and Covering.
For the 1960s we have Gamera, the giant flying turtle kaiju, debuted in 1965 as a product rival to Godzilla.
In the 1970s we have The Tootsie Pop Turtle voiced by Ralph James who can not figure out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie Roll.
The 1980s is Loaded, but if I had to pick 2 it is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Bowser From Super Mario.
The 1990s is Also loaded, but if I can only pick 2 I have to go with Squirrel from Pokemon or Hey It’s Franklin.
The Turtle of the 2000s is either Bowser Jr who debuted in 2002 or Crush from Finding Nemo who debuted in 2003.
In the 2010s we gotta go with Master Oogway, who technically debuted in 2008, but with the sequel movies and Memes easily dominated the 2010s decade.
The Turtle of the 2020s would have to be Jack Black’s Movie Mario Bowser.
