Cats Costumery | Ever After is one of the BEST Costumed Films. Change My Mind. @CatsCostumery | Uploaded June 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!

As some of you may know, I have embarked on a journey to make the Breathe Dress, won by Danielle in Ever After (played by Drew Barrymore, released in 1998). I think a lot of people have seen this film and loved it, perhaps for different reasons, but one of the reasons that made it stand out for me was definitely the costume design. I LOVE IT.

I've added a disclaimer in the video (three times, I notice now that I've edited it) that this is not a historical nitpicking of the costume design. Instead, we are tracing the historical influences where they may be and generally discussing the costume design as it works for characters, plot, and setting. This video is a wonderful collaboration with Marty, from @scrappypatterns so please make sure to check out her channel and Instagram! She has lots of experience in this time period.

Hopefully I will have a Breathe dress update soon!
