The courage fandom wiki said that Eustace's personality was "based on John R. Dilworth's early incorrigible attitude."
I asked the man himself about it and looks like that fandom wiki was full of shit when it came to that since apparently he was never like Eustace but could easily grow into being him in 3 decades.
