The European Digital Skills Awards 2026, celebrated during the Digital Skills EU Days in Brussels, recognised inspiring initiatives that are helping people across Europe develop the digital skills needed for the future.
We had a conversation with FAIRmat, winner of the Digital Upskilling @ Work category, to hear how they are empowering researchers with practical digital skills through data management, AI-ready workflows and the open-source NOMAD ecosystem. Their work is helping make science more open, reproducible and data-driven across Europe and beyond.
