In Greek mythology; The god Zeus fell in love with Europa and wanted to take her away from her family to live with him. One day Europa was wandering amongst her father’s herds of cattle she saw a white bull. She was so taken with its beauty that she climbed onto its back. Zeus who transformed himself into this white bull then ran off with her across the sea to Crete where Zeus revealed himself and took her as his lover. The Princess Europa was said to be, the epitome of feminine beauty on Earth, she became the personification of an entire continent.
