Considered as the main sensor of the Eurofighter Typhoon, the radar system plays a central role in future capability enhancements. Technical upgrades like the development of the new radar system MK1 are being carried out in order to keep the Typhoon relevant for future challenges, helping it continue to remain a leading European fighter in its class nearly three decades after its maiden flight.
