The large fissure in the rump of the Sphinx (now repaired) was actually worshipped by some Egyptians. The gash was seen as a divine gesture. The Sphinx was wounded for some good purpose. This video looks at two constants, Phi (Φ, 1.618) and Euler (e, 2.718) as they interface with the world's oldest statue, the Sphinx. And then we reason a bit about this.
