Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Timbren Front Wheel BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now, this kit has been designed for your 2007 to 2021 Toyota Tundra. Now, upgrading your suspension can improve the ride quality of your Tundra. It helps reduce that sag when you're towing or hauling heavy loads. And it's going to make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling. However, it doesn't reduce the extra workload that's placed on your brakes. So if you've ever felt like that your truck takes longer to stop with the trailer, or maybe your brakes are wearing down faster than you've expected, or maybe that added weight is making your brakes feel less confident, that's where this BES Brake Upgrade Kit comes into play.
This kit is designed to give your Tundra a stronger, more consistent braking power when it is carrying those heavier loads. These low metallic Onyx bike brake pads are going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing. So you're going to notice more confident and consistent braking performance on every road trip. These multi-layered rubber shims that you see here on the back, they are going to help stabilize the brake pads during braking, ultimately reducing vibration, keeping brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. On your screen, that first photo that I have there for you, that's just a closeup of one of those shims from Timbren, the multi-layered rubberized shim, just giving you a view of the construction.
And then that second photo is what the brake pad looks like with that shim pulled off. Again, just to give you a better view of it and the construction of it. So these positive molded pads paired with these precision balance motor, rotors, rather, they're going to promote smooth and even braking, and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors. They're going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing.
And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timberland's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating most commonly used on OEM parts. This coating also is going to help protect these rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving. It's going to help keep your brakes looking cleaner between surfaces without affecting braking performance. The pads also feature a bed-in coating. That's these blue stripes that you see here on the pads. And this is going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during those first stops. So you're going to be able to enjoy that consistent braking performance sooner after the installation. Installation's going to be pretty straightforward.
