The Simien Mountains National Park is one of the most important parks of Ethiopia. The countryside is very beautiful, but the most fascinating are the gelada baboons. The gelada baboons living in the Simien Mountains climb up every morning. They are living in groups of 100 animals. They aren't disturbed by people in their neighborhood. It is possible to approach them very closely and to watch how they live on a distance of a few meters. The park can only be entered in company of an armed scout. We sat between them for almost an entire day watching them.
The baby baboons at 10:13 are especially nice.
