🌡️🌍 At #WHS2025, Ethel Maciel, Special Envoy for COP30 (Brazil), highlighted how the Belém Health Action Plan strengthens the health sector’s adaptation and resilience to climate change.   

She highlights three core pillars of the plan: 

1️⃣ Enhanced surveillance – integrating climate and health data to strengthen decision-making at national and local levels. 

2️⃣ Capacity building – equipping health systems with the skills and resilience needed to respond to climate challenges. 

3️⃣ Innovation & technology – positioning the health sector as a key driver toward a net-zero future. 

With the Belém Health Action Plan now in motion, its implementation marks a pivotal step in positioning health as a key dimension of climate policy.
