I Spent 100 HOURS Building my Easy Demon! JamAttack 2023-06-10 | I spent 100 hours in the Geometry Dash editor, working on my easy demon (Glorious Fortress). A video inspired by Luke Thenotable and others' Minecraft 100 day videos. This one was wild to make, but I'm glad it's finally here... seriously this was an undertaking lol. Still gotta make the other 2 episodes............This video is dedicated to my inspirations:-Luke Thenotable (obviously). The tips I scavenged from his channel helped a lot too.-Zylenox and Samifying. We see primarily 1 kind of creating content in this game, all more or less in the format Lemons pioneered. I tried to take inspiration from creators who did something a little bit different with their content. (Zylenox has since made all his creating videos unavailable, but there were some things I remembered about them that I really wanted to pull from. For one, his unusual reserved commentary, but I probably took more inspiration from Samifying on that front. There's Also the fact that Zy always focused more on the entertainment of his video than explaining every little thing he did, more telling stories and making jokes. Then again, I can't go into much detail anyway with recapping a whole 100 hours of work lmao.-Dani. Someone who took a niche type of content (game dev content) and made it digestible to a larger audience. I wanted to do something similar with creating content, all be it in a different way... anyway I still have a ways to go with breaking out of the mold lol.All in all, is this video everything I could have wanted? no. I'll try to improve future episodes. I spent a really long time on this tho and I really tried my best to make something good with this idea. That includes all the playtesting and practicing I did for the 7+ months I was making this level. If I hadn't made this, I'd likely have spent at least 30 or 40 thousand on it still. THE CELLAR PATH - 4K Showcase (Solo Extreme Demon) JamAttack 2022-10-31 | LEVEL ID: 85317764The showcase endscreen is wrong, I spent more like 460 hours on this.After all these months... here it finally is. A project I started over a year ago when I was still working on Jam Factory, and started seriously working on around 7 months ago. This level and the Creator Logs I made for it easily add up to well over 500 hours of work. Hope to break that personal record in the future. One day I hope to hit 1,000 on a project. That could be in this game or just in game dev in general.Anyway this has been my passion project. I've found so much joy in crafting an immersive world like this, and I hope to continue making experiences for people that can really sweep them away from everyday life.If there's one thing I didn't like about making this level, it was the fact that it's an extreme demon. The amount of obsession in perfecting the gameplay in this level has been insane, and the structuring has really limited my creative options. That being said, I think I managed pretty well in the end despite all that. Just don't expect me to make another extreme anytime soon. In it's early days, a collab by YacobNugget about a rose castle, that fell apart and was rebuilt into this. We procrastinated so hard on this, then the deadline was moved which made us procrastinate even harder. The absolute grind to get this done in like the last week we had was insane and I'm so proud of everyone.I want to give special thanks to:Subwoofer, for the level idea and most of the general planning that ended up being used (you can probably tell lol)Jghost, for stepping up to the daunting challenge of hosting this when I felt like the only one holding it together. You have no idea the INTENSE euphoric gratitude that was going through me that day.Talia, for all the help merging and polishing the level. I just want at least decent effort in making your level playable.Q: Can color triggers be set to higher duration like pulse triggers?A: No. Pulse triggers can only have the HOLD value set to higher duration, not the fade in/out values. Color triggers only have 1 duration and it's for fading. This duration has to be set to 0.Q: Can my entry be a collab?A: Your entry can be a solo level, small collab, mega collab, you name it. Each one comes with it's own challenges, so do be aware of that.
