I had questions about getting started with NodeMCU V1.0 ESP8266-E12 dev kit (one from banggood). This video is step by step guide for downloading IDE, firmware flasher, loading firmware, loading and running basic sketch to blink one onboard LED-blue (pin D0) and one external LED -red.

NOTE- Just plug USB cable between your PC and Nodemcu - no additional hardware modifications required for loading firmware and/or other sketches.
