Here is an idea for a weekend software/hardware project: ESP32 based, e-ink (e-paper) weather station for your desk. Lilygo makes those nice e-ink displays powered by a ESP32-S3 that can connect to OpenWeatherMap and display weather for basically any location. How cool is that?
However, be warned that the model I'm presenting is no longer available, it was replaced by one without 18650 Li-Ion holder and some other changes. But e-ink part stays the same. Also, well, prices
changed a lot :(
