The plot is easy to understand : Esmeralda and Oliver are children of the street, and Esmeralda rescues the kitten from the cold.
They become inseparable friends who are fighting every day to live in poverty.
But money doesn't matter when you have someone to count on, they are no longer alone, they are together now.
