AspiringChristian | Escaping Rock Bottom: Mega-Church Pastor Loses His Job & House. THIS Changes Everything! @AspiringChristian | Uploaded 5 months ago | Updated 15 hours ago
In this video, Pastor Mark Driscoll mentions that reliance and trust in The Lord is everything. When we are at our wit’s end, when everything feels hopeless and we’ve exhausted our best efforts The Lord is there to jump in the ring with us. Do not allow yourself to become discouraged for too long. Be uncommon amongst uncommon people.

Pastor Driscoll reveals how just like Gideon, he reached his breaking point about 10 years ago. He had been cancelled and was being threatened. He felt overwhelmed. He felt like a boxer who knew that they could not get back up. Experiencing devastating loss, like Gideon he withdrew and was anxious.
One day, he put his clothes on and a button fell off. He started crying. Usually he has the resillance to get through a broken off button. This was the button that broke the pastor’s back.
After leaving the internet for 18 months, which was great for him, he started spending a lot of time in prayer and quiet time with The Lord.
In Judges 6, Gideon is in a anxious discouraged place, and then Jesus showed up. Mark felt The Holy Spirit anoint him. While he was unemployed, he felt a word from The Lord that he still had The Lord’s anointing which would go with him.
However, he didn’t see quite how he’d use that in this life.
Mark built an altar at home and starts to worship The Lord at home in private. He spends time in worship. After some time, he then felt ready to get active and demonstrate faith instead of fear. It was time to fight instead of flee.
