What’s the Escape Room movie about?
In Chicago, six people who do not know each other, of different ages and social status, receive a package containing a strange black cube. After finding a way to open it, each one discovers an invitation card to participate in an escape game with a prize of ten thousand dollars. When they arrive at the Minos Escape Room building, everyone must leave their cell phones at the front desk. While Ben Miller (Logan Miller), Zoey Davis (Taylor Russell from Waves), Amanda Harper (Deborah Ann Woll from Mother's Day and Ruby Sparks), Mike Nolan (Tyler Labine), Jason Walker (Jay Ellis from Insecure) and Danny Khan (Nik Dodani from Atypical) meet in what they think is just a waiting room, only to be unpleasantly surprised to learn that they are actually in the first room of the game that has just begun. Faced with the reality of danger, they quickly realize that the game they are playing is deadly, and that its designers know everything about their lives and have used it as inspiration to create the theme of the rooms, as well as the puzzles they must quickly solve in order to leave the room in time. Their intelligence and cooperation are their only chances to get out of the room alive...
