In August 2021, as the Taliban overthrew the Afghan government, a small group of Fletcher community members mobilized the global Tufts community to facilitate the evacuation of alumni and their families who faced imminent peril in Kabul. Among those evacuated were Fletcher School graduates as well as graduates of the Master of Arts in Humanitarian Assistance program at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. This video recounts these efforts of the extended university community to help Tufts alumni in distress.
