So we realized during a daily raid that we start the burn phase when the boss has about 75% HP left and figured that we could get a faster kill if we just didn't CC. In the last phase it didn't quite work out since the boss jump up anyway for like 10 seconds so it turned out to be faster if we would just break the boss there and finish him off in the burn phase.
I was running Writs previously but I wanted to try sharpening stone for a pull to see the difference and it ended up being a 1-2k dps loss but unfortunately the kill where I used sharpening stone we got this kill so I decided to at least use writs for the last 12% burn.
Overall a really fun strategy imo.
