[Begins again after false start.] Composed and led by Ervin Webb with Willie Washington, bass; Bridges Lee Cole, tenor; and J.J. Sanburn, baritone. Webb was 39 years old and six years into a sentence of undisclosed duration. His home was Prichard, Alabama. Recorded by Alan Lomax at the Parchman Farm (Mississippi State Penitentiary) dairy, October 1959. [T919.10-12]
