At this year's UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences commencement ceremony, Dr. Olson surprised graduates with a special performance of an original song he wrote just for them called "Find Your Way."
A pioneering leader in regenerative medicine and founding Chair of Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern, Dr. Olson has dedicated his career to advancing treatments for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other genetic diseases through groundbreaking research. Outside the lab, he performs with his band, The Transactivators, and has even shared the stage with Willie Nelson.
His inspiring keynote address and unforgettable musical performance helped send off the Class of 2026 in a celebration graduates won't soon forget.
