"Equilibrium Geostrophic Turbulence in a Channel," by James C. McWilliams and Julianna H. S. Chow. From the introduction: "This film presents geostrophic turbulence in equilibrium in a periodic, zonal channel. It shows the time evolution of horizontal streamfunction, temperature, and vertical velocity patterns in a numerical model solution... The parameters of the model were chosen for similarity to the Antarctic Circumpolar Current." Film produced by NCAR. (Color, silent.)
