equilateral triangle on a parabola. Find two points on the parabola y = 1-x^2 such that the triangle formed by the x axis and going through those points is equilateral. It is a nice problem that combines calculus and geometry, more specifically tangent lines, intercepts, distances, and inscribed triangles. This was inspired by a instagram post by UC Irvine math.
