In this second video on the Epson HX-20 we dig into the microcassette drive to replace a worn belt. The first snag we run into is that the replacement belt is too long, so we have to wait another week for a new belt. We also find some crusty leaking caps on the cassette PCB as well which require attention.
We take a tour of the expansion unit. First, we find out how to disassemble it and then we take a look at what all those parts on the PCB are there for. Then we reattach the expansion unit to the main unit so we can use it once more.
