Converting an Epson ET-8550 into a reliable DTF printer requires much more than simply connecting a continuous ink system. A complete conversion includes modified control electronics, physical printer modifications, properly routed tubing and cables, white-ink circulation, waste-ink management, and a maintenance-fluid system.
In this video, Kevin introduces the updated BCH Kevin V2 ET-8550 DTF Conversion Essential Bracket Kit and demonstrates how to install its main components. You will see how to mount the control-board holder, secure Boards B and C, install the mainboard holder, position the Wi-Fi and media boards, route the long ribbon cable safely away from the PF encoder disk, install the front-panel support, and assemble the drag chain with its damper and tubing holders.
The ET-8550 conversion system is divided into three main sections:
Modified electronic control system
Essential brackets and physical modifications
Complete ink, white-ink circulation, waste, and maintenance system
