How to make a resin art table top or piece of art - Full tutorial
Hi everyone! in this tutorial I explain how to make a resin casting art piece. By following this technique you can create your own art using Easy Composites Glass Cast 3.
This is a basic tutorial that anyone could do at home without having to be intimidated by using epoxy resin. You could also use this technique to create table tops, counters, bars, penny floors.
Keep in mind this isn't a casting resin, if your looking to cast thicker parts the Glasscast 10 or Glasscast 10/50 would be a better suited resin.
The resin is self leveling so no degassing is needed and will cure in 24 hours to a high gloss, strong finish without the need of sanding or extra layers on top.
The material is machinable by drill or router after a full cure, preferably after 48 hours.
Working environment should be around 20-25 degrees ideally with the lowest temperature for the resin to cure being 15 degrees celcius.
By adding translucent, opaque, metalic pigments you are able to create any piece of art you want with any colours desired
