Meet Tami Cockrell. Weight loss for Tami came as a result of her addressing serious health issues through a plant-based way of eating. In March of 2017, Tami was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and Vitamin D deficiency. It was then that she began her plant-based journey. Four and a half months after adopting a low-fat, plant-based lifestyle, she reversed her ailments and got off all her medicines. Today, Tami enjoys developing plant-based recipes and helping others to transition to and maintain this way of eating.
Losing weight is hard for many people, and keeping it off can be even more challenging. Following a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) way of eating, however, could hold the key to finally being successful. Weight Loss With Plants, hosted by Sharme Ridley, EdS, is a biweekly video series that showcases everyday people who have found success through the power of plants. Each episode will introduce to you someone who has triumphed over struggles with obesity and associated health issues. Prepare to be inspired.
