Sketchbook B | EPISODE 14: ROBOBUTTERFLY! - Flying insect city done on my Huion Digital Tablet! @sketchbookb | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 15 hours ago.
My name is Brent Florica, welcome to Sketchbook B! In this video I continue my Robo-animal city series based on the world of Mortal Engines! I had a blast with the Roborhino last time in Episode 10, so I took some suggestions and decided to do a butterfly this time with my new Huion Kamvas 13 digital display tablet!

Watch the other Robo-series drawings:

-Episode 8: youtube.com/watch?v=_zGOLWgr_iU
The robobutterfly was such a fun drawing for me, it was a blast to build on my Mortal Engines themed world of robo designs with one based in the sky! I started with digital pencilling and inking, then moved through flatting and rendering. I really enjoy digital colouring, and it definitely stretches me as an artist, but I'm really excited to see the new ways that this will help my journey of creative and artistic improvement on the channel! Hope you enjoyed the robobutterfly, I loved all the worldbuilding and storytelling aspects of it as I designed the piece, there's lots of little details to explore!
