Brent Florica here, in this episode of Sketchbook B, I attempt Marker Universe's June Colours of the Month Challenge! Only three colours can be used alone or in combination, plus black and white for inking.

-E25 Caribe Cocoa
-RV06 (I substituted RV04 Shock Pink)
-Also used my micron pens

For this art challenge, I tried to do a comic style drawing of a pirate, sailor character. I did a lot of reference research for the character design to come up with the look and the clothes that I liked. The blue, pink and brown actually worked really well in combination to take the edge and vibrancy off each other so the image didn't look cheesy with all the bright colours, I'm really happy with the result.
I love working as a traditional artist, especially doing copic marker art, and in this video I take you through each step from concept sketches to pencilling, inking, and colouring. My adventure as a YouTube artist has only begun, and I want beginners to see that anyone can get to their goals if they only start walking down the path today!
