Want to scream like an absolute beast but don't know how to get started? Check out my entirely FREE vocal course "How To Scream From Zero"!

So you wanna make nasty, gurgly, sludgy low and mid screams? Well, one way to do that is to use an extreme vocal technique often called "epiglottal lows". It can be tricky, but one of the most important steps is to avoid overcomplicating it! Pop, Gospel, and rock music have laid a path that we can use to work our way towards powerful mid screams or low guttural tones.
This video is not a paint by numbers approach to metal vocalization. This isn't a recipe that everyone will follow and get the same results. Our bodies are nuanced, our starting points are diverse, and our perception of sound and sensation varies. It's important to know that all online tutorial content works best when viewed as a general guideline, not a vending machine that will always give you what you expect when you push the right combination of numbers. Trust your body, follow comfort above all else, and remember that a 20 minute video, while certainly helpful, is only a supplement to you spending time with your voice and following what works for your body.
