The question everyone always asks is: How do they not hit each other? The answer is when paraglider pilots join a gaggle, they all turn in the same direction (left or right). Then you watch your distance from the pilots in the immediate vicinity – left, right, below, above – and in that way the whole gaggle works organically to use the best lift, rise up and to stay safe. Do they ever hit each other? Only very rarely!
