The #GreatBarrierReef is spawning!
Right now, the corals on the Great Barrier Reef are spawning, and our researchers are out on the Whitsundays to capture some of the spawn that is released during this once-a-year natural phenomenon as part of our Coral IVF project.
We pioneered Coral IVF to give nature a helping hand by rearing millions of baby corals in specially designed enclosures on the Reef before delivering them onto areas of damaged reefs.
Now, we’re working with tourism operators to take the project to the next level. This is just one of more than 60 Reef-saving projects we’re delivering right now.
