How big is this concert going to be? From epic orchestral arrangements to all new chamber works with strings, this concert will be an absolute supernova in terms of raw emotions and soaring melodies. I've spent my entire musical life preparing for this moment, and my goal is not just to satisfy my fans who have followed my works for years, but to blow their minds in terms of sheer epicness. Will I succeed or will I fail?

My biggest concert "MUSICALBASICS: A Transcendental Experience" ever will feature my original pieces such as Fires of a Revolution, Gallop, and Imprisoned Soul. It will feature my fan's pieces such as Lycoris Radiata and Kintab, and feature EDM remixes of pieces such as Moonlight Sonata and Beethoven's 5th Symphony. The 90 minute program will also feature never-heard before epic orchestral arrangements of my most powerful melodies such as Courage, The Last Rite and Eternal Sunrise. This will be by far the most epic concert I've ever done so if you're in the Washington DC area, secure the best seats early! Link is in my bio for more information.

AUDIENCE REVIEWS from my latest sold-out concert in Heidelberg, Germany - October 2021:

"It was my first piano concert ever and i loved every second of it. Your performance of your Piece "Saudade", which you dedicated to Andreas that day, was wonderful. The gentle sound of this piece hit me at heart. Seeing you play this emotional piece with such passion was overwhelming." Maximilian D.

"The concert was amazing! Even seeing that in real I still not believe it's possible to play such Masterpiece with as much dexterity, ability and power as you do. At merely every key you pressed I got chills." Morgan B.

"It was a great concert and I will remember it forever... You were part of the best 2 days I had since way longer than even this stupid pandenemic" 罗一虎

"The concert surpassed my expectations. It was absolutely amazing. I got to hear two of my favorite pieces from the album musical stories, a mashup of different classical pieces such as Moonlight Sonata and Clair de Lune as well as an incredible improvisation and so much more. The only thing that rivals this pianist skills is his personality." Andreas T.

"I was there and I'll probably always remember it.... BUT... Better than all the recordings in the world was to hear and feel the pieces directly. You seemed so natural and charming on stage, it was really fun. ^^ And now that makes it something really special. It was an honor to be there. It was a stunning concert and I hope you'll come back to Germany next year (or at least soon)" Carmen S.

REVIEWS from my Carnegie Hall Concert December 2018:

"His chops are astonishing: he lives in that magic space where his fingers hit the keys with a perfectly unwavering attack, just hard enough to unleash the loudest possible sound. Yet as much as Yu is all about raw power and breathtaking speed, ultimately he’s defined by passion. It felt viscerally redemptive to watch this conservatory-trained composer attack the keys with blitz after blitz of icepick staccato phrases, often riding the pedal, an effect that would make a lot of piano teachers cringe. In an era where conservatories have been Sovietized to churn out an assembly line of cookie-cutter players, a rugged individualist like Yu stands out even more. That’s probably why all the kids came out to see him: his music is the furthest thing from safe or tame." - New York Music Daily

"I've never felt so connected to a musician and his instrument. The passion was inspirational. Thank you!" Jarrod W.

"It was such a delightful evening and absolutely the highlight of our time in New York. Thank you again for sharing your music with us! We love the stories that each of your pieces tell." Beth H.
