EPFO Date of Exit Update Online 2026 | Update PF Date of Exit Without Employer using UAN Member Portal. Learn how to Mark Exit / Self Update Date of Exit in EPFO without employer approval after completing the required 60 days.
In this video, I explain the complete EPFO Date of Exit (DOE) update process online using the UAN Member Portal. If your previous employer has not updated your PF Date of Exit, you can use the EPFO self-service Mark Exit option to update the exit date yourself, subject to EPFO eligibility conditions.
This process is useful for employees who have left an old company, changed jobs, joined a new organization, or whose previous employer forgot to update the Date of Exit in their PF account. Updating the correct Date of Exit can help when transferring your previous PF account to a new PF account or proceeding with eligible PF claim/settlement services.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
The Date of Exit should be entered carefully according to your actual employment details. If you have already joined another organization, make sure the previous employment's exit date does not conflict with the joining date of your subsequent PF employment, as incorrect employment dates can create problems during PF transfer or claim processing.
⏳ EPFO Date of Exit – 60 Days Rule:
As explained in the video, the self-service Date of Exit option becomes available only after the required period has passed from the relevant PF contribution/month. Therefore, if you recently left your job and the option is not available, you may need to wait until the eligibility period is completed.
📌 After successfully updating Date of Exit:
Once your PF Date of Exit is updated, you can verify it again under Member Service History. Depending on your circumstances, you may then proceed with PF transfer to your new employment or apply for eligible PF settlement/withdrawal services.
