Leaving the Beaumaris hotel for Weldborough. As some of the group hadn’t been to the Bay of Fires it was a quick refuel at St Helens and then out on the coast road to Binalong Bay for a quick “view” of the Bay. The bay is known for its blue water, pristine sandy beaches and the unusual red coloured rocks (lichens).
Then it was back to St Helens and on to the A3 which goes all the way through to Launceston, heading for Weldborough via Pyengana and the cheese factory. The dairy is completely automatic when it comes to milking. The cows know when they need milking and make their way in to the milking shed where their collar indicates whether they have gone the required amount of time in between milking sessions. They then wander in to the stalls where robotic arms attach the milking cups. We did see a couple of farm hands on site who were cleaning and making sure everything was running smoothly.
The dairy has a wonderful cafe with food and drinks on offer and of course cheese sales.
Then we headed out back on to the A3 and the never ending twisty roads of Tasmania to our final destination which was only a very short 45 minutes further on.

We’ve taken BMW GS700s from Ushuaia to Machu Pichu in South America, taken RE Classic 500’s around Rajasthan in India, ridden off road in Cyprus, and covered a lot of New South Wales on R1’s and Fazer 600’s, and South Australia on MT09’s and now Kawasaki Z650RS’s.
The road never ends for motorcycle adventurers.

We love adventure travel, extreme travel, and sometimes just easy relaxing travel along with the odd skydive and bungee jump. So we aim to offer you suggestions, our experience, our knowledge, and some genuine good ideas.
