Will Mackenzie's plane has crashed due to a mysterious geomagnetic event. He and his fellow passenger Astrid Greenwood are now separated after Will becomes stranded at the bottom of a nearby ravine over the course of one night. Finding nothing but Astrid's hardcase the next morning, Will must now do his best to survive in the wilderness while trying to find any trace of the doctor, assuming that she is even still alive. His journey takes him to the small forgotten Town of Milton, where he starts to understand the extent of the Quiet Apocalypse that sent his plane crashing down into this new world.
