In popular culture dinosaurs can often be brightly coloured – to spark this conversation, we’ve purposefully reimagined an iguanadon to resemble a mandarinfish!
As Dr. Clarke explains, palaeontologists are able to look at the remnants of pigment-containing melanosomes in the fossil record to determine what colours dinosaurs really were. Now that is some cool science!
