Historic Lolo Pass straddles the Idaho/Montana border, at an elevation of 5,233 feet in the Bitterroot Range of the northern Rocky Mountains. It's the highest point on the historic Lolo Trail that connects Montana's Bitterroot Valley with the Weippe Prairie in Idaho, where Lewis & Clark first encountered the Nez Perce. While boondocking high on the pass along East Lolo Creek we'll check out a couple of the Corps of Discovery campsites from 1805 & 1806, including Packer Meadows and Travelers' Rest.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so while you'll occasionally find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into.
