My first songwriting mentorship session with Rita Springer didn't cover songwriting at all. She asked me one question instead, and it's the question that changed everything:

It took me four days sitting with the Lord to get past my first answer (truth) and find the real one (freedom). In this video I walk through how to follow the enemy's attack pattern backward through your life to find the thing you were created to carry, why he works so hard to keep gifted people at a low ember instead of fully burning, and a real-time example from that same morning when fear almost talked me out of protecting my time with Jesus.
