I was 12 years old on 9/11, and I remember it vividly.
It feels surreal that 25 years have gone by!
"Only Time" is a song from Enya's 2000 album "A Day Without Rain", which won a Grammy Award and became the best selling new age album of all time.
Following the 9/11 terror attacks, the song became a quasi funeral hymn for the victims when news stations used it in their coverage of the falling towers.
With this performance, I want to honor the victims of that horrible day – the 2,977 people who died on the day itself, as well as the thousands who lost their lives in the following years due to their injuries, illnesses and medical complications.
May they rest in peace, and may their memory be a blessing!
