Environmental Effects makes nature less forgiving in minecraft. Different blocks and situations will give you different kinds of effects. All effects that are included are: Hot Blocks, Torch Burns, Cold Blocks, Prickly Plants, Altitude Sickness, Hypothermia and Soaking.
The module can be installed using a One Click Command or via MCEdit (links under DOWNLOAD LINKS). Once installed in the spawn chunks, you can use the module freely in your world. It is wise to first run "/gamerule commandBlockOutput false" to prevent the command blocks spamming the console.
