This forum focused on Environmental and sustainability education or ESE – an area of joint national importance for India and Australia. In this final session, ESE researchers explored community practices and national policies shaping ESE across the unique socio-economic and cultural contexts of Australia and India. They discussed some of the challenges and opportunities to integrating holistic models of ESE into formal education and cross-cultural research ecosystems. The aim of this session was to facilitate an exchange of ideas and perspectives around how interdisciplinary curriculum development and collaborative research can contribute to contextually appropriate models of ESE in both countries.
