The Minister for the Environment says that works on the Eastside project are being held to the highest standards by his department, and that if environmental issues arise in the Caleta as a result of the new marina, that the government will step in to provide assistance.

Speaking to Iain Triay-Clarence earlier on the last Beach Wednesday of the season, Dr Cortes said he was pleased with how the summer has gone from the perspective of his department.
We first asked him about concerns expressed by the public over the course of the summer about what many feel is a lack of maintenance at Gibraltar’s swimming spots.
