“Unrelenting” is the most elegiac track off ENTROPY’s “Death Spell” EP. The chord changes and melodies carry a somewhat epic, triumphant quality, but this is offset by the lyrics, which are actually marked by a sense of bitterness and exhaustion. The same can be said for the video: The words are injected into nostalgic impressions of childhood, slightly distorting the idyll, and sparse slow motion images of the band create a feeling of stuck-ness at odds with the forward motion of both the images and music.
