On January 3, 2025, at approximately 1:59 PM, a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to an unwanted guest complaint at a gas station. Upon arrival, the complainant confirmed he wanted a male trespassed from the business. When the deputy requested identification from the male, the male became argumentative and belligerent, then exited the business with the deputy following. Outside, the male turned and stood close to the deputy's body/face, and was instructed to step away. After confirming the male was trespassed from the property, the deputy instructed the male to leave or be subject to arrest. The male refused to comply, continued arguing, and attempted to instigate a physical altercation. The male made a 911 call while continuing to disregard commands to leave, then got into a vehicle. After multiple commands to exit the vehicle were refused, the deputy deployed a Taser 7, which was ineffective. The deputy rushed forward to pull the male from the vehicle, and after a struggle, the male was restrained with the assistance of other deputies.
